It's a breakfast food that I had this morning at a friend's house and it's made with egg and I don't think it has anything to do with Holland. I just thought it was an odd name.

It's like a big yorkshire pudding... also known as a German pancake... but it's origins are probably from the Pennsylvania Dutch in the USA.

Those Pennsylvania Dutch have contributed a lot to American cuisine.
