well, you can always say it is at a higher level, meaning the teachers raise the bar each year and it's hard to keep up, and with all the other classes, it is difficult to find the motivation to learn another language. Tell them ahead of time, so you can act like it's something you care about and have concern for (even if you don't.......especially if you don't)

I'm taking french too....you might as well just tell your parents. Because if you don't then I'm pretty sure your french teacher would do it for you. That's not cool. Or better yet, wait until report cards come in and explain then. Good luck.

well, the same thing happened to me but in Spanish
well i told my parents that i was having a hard time understanding a new language and if they could get me a tutor or if i should just switch my elective. But yeah i got a tutor so talk to your parents

You should get to it as soon as possible. But you should plan what you are going to do so that you pass it first. Also, if you need tutoring then tell them you need it.
