Probably best to drink within a year at the longest. It is not meant to age. In other words, it is going to turn to vinegar pretty quickly. Actually $20 or $30 is not all that cheap for wine, I was thinking of the $7 dollar a bottle. You might have a little bit longer. But, if it isn't a "real" brand name that has been well fermented it isn't meant to be put away and saved. It really is meant to be used right away. I've given too many bottles to friends of good wine that was of average cost and seen it turn in a little over a year as they didn't open it with dinner when we brought it and about a year later they decided to bring it out and it was ready for the salad.
