I downloaded it twice to be sure I didn't accidentally download the 32 bit version. It's supposedly for XP Professional x64 Edition. However, when it's running the task manager shows it as a *32 process. It also automatically installs to the x86 (32 bit) Program Files folder. Is Microsoft just pulling my leg by offering a x64 version?
I'd like to have it run as a 64 bit application since there are so few apps that seem to support x64 as it is. It would be nice if the ones that actually do (supposedly) support it would take advantage of it. It might help me feel like I upgraded from xp Home to x64 for a reason.
System Information:
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 ~2411 Mhz
OS: Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Edition
Version5.2.3790 Service Pack 2, v.2825 Build 3790

There is no error message and it works perfectly fine as a 32 bit application. I have a 64 bit system though and would like to take as much advantage of it as possible.
There is a difference between XP Home/Media Center/Profession and XP Professional x64 Edition. My issue is that even though it is supposed to be the x64 version, it is running as though it was the version for Home/Media Center/Professional.
I have uninstalled it once and downloaded and installed it again. Both times from the official site with full validation.
Maybe MS is just full of it. Does anyone know of any other 64 bit media players?
