So the greasy arab bastages can squeeze every single cent out of you. I can't wait for alternative energy sources to become more and more popular. Once they do, the arabs won't be able to give their oil away. All we need is a president that isn't an oil man to take charge of the situation. Until Bush get's out of office gas will continue to be high because he and his daddy are making big money off of it.

Did you know that the oil company's calibrate the gas pumps to keep a percentage of the fuel you are supposed to get?
I know this,,because it used to be my job to do the calibrations.
also,,you pay for the gasoline which is in the hose between the pump and the nozzle,,,but you never get it.
The 9/10's is probably a compensation value for taxes,,or temperature variations,,,,Gasoline expands and contracts with temperature variations.

when gas was really cheap, in the 50's it made it look cheaper for the sign to say 19 9/10 cents than 20 cents.

It's all marketing my friend... 9/10 is not 1... so 2.35 9/10 is less than 2.36...
stupid but us folks go for it... like 9.99 instead of 10.00...
