The Free Will Baptists taught that Jesus gave himself as a ransom for all mankind, not just for the elect, at a time when most Baptists believed in predestination. They practice open communion and foot washing.

Baptists, in general, used to be free will... now, like so many "movements" controling individuals formed groups which became denominations which some band togeather into world orginizations... so that now the designation Baptist has such a blurred meaning that no one can put a clear definition to it... Free Will just are not as controled, or so they think, as most of the rest... but Baptist can still be used to designate those who do not, never have as a group, bowed to the Roman cult... thus were not, and still are not, part of the Protestant reformation...There have alway been those who refused to bow to the roman cult... and were around long before the roman cult got started...and many of them were Baptist... though that term was not the name used... they were those of The Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head... then as now... only those of The Church will enter Heaven... and many of those will be Baptist... and Protestant as well... only a very very few of those in the roman cult will make it and only if they find The Way outside the teaching of the cult...

The only difference between a bapist is his own two feet.
He plans on going to heaven and partying with god, while most others will rot and burn in Hell for eternity. That doesn't bother him one bit.
