I got this information from the following website:
http://www.ridbadhabits.com/Anxiety.html
We all have feelings of anxiety from time to time. But how can you tell if your anxiety is out of control? If you experience restlessness, nervousness, bad temper, racing thoughts, rapid heartbeat, muscle tension, extreme difficulty resting or concentrating, you probably need to get help.
Anxiety can also put significant physical stress on the cardiovascular system through increased blood pressure, and a consistently rapid heart rate. For this reason alone, anxiety disorder should be taken seriously.
Possibly, you break out into a cold sweat when you have to talk
before a group of people, or you become nervous when you have to take a test. There are plentiful causes for anxiety. Similarly, there are a number of treatment options available. If you don’t like the idea of medication, you might try an alternative approach to battle your anxiety.
Methods of treatment are also discussed in this website. Have a look at it.

Sorry to hear that, I know how painful that it can be. I had my first freak out/panic attack in 7th grade, and it has taken 15 years to finally feel in control. There is hope out there especially now, so many techniques and advancements in therapy.
Any of these symptoms? If not, could be generalized anxiety disorder.

Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/cognitive_b... worked best for me. I suffered from social anxiety for over 15 years. I've tried meds, individual therapy, and group therapy and studied psychology for 10 years, as a profession, but also with the hope to cure myself.
Depending on your comfort level, you could go to a psychologist that practices CBT and specializes in anxiety disorders, seek a group therapy, or create one. Usually those that do attend the group therapy are a bit more high functioning because as you know, it can be difficult to speak in a group.
Another idea is to see if there are any local research studies being conducted that you could participate in.
The program that finally worked the best for me is this one: http://www.socialanxiety.us/findinghelp.... and I was lucky enough to have a structured behavioral group to go along with it. Sometimes the people that actually attend this program come back home and form groups.
Any questions, let me know ... I can't tell you how much this has improved my life!

First of all, realize that's normal. I've done lots of presentations and still quake like a leaf in the wind every time.
There are classes that can help you with that, check and see if your employer has some through a web based training, or even search the internet on "neverousness" AND "presentations".
It also helps to force yourself to do something outside your comfort zone, just to start you off and give you a little confidence, like go to some strange seminar, or hobby that is new to you. Sorry I don't have better examples.

You could try some talk therapy, take little steps towards building that confidence. Anti-anxiety pills could also help you overcome your problem as well.

Practice delivering it to a mirror first, then family, then friends, and you will KNOW you can do it, because you have done it many times before, successfully. See http://www.anxietypanic.com/signs.html and http://www.anxietytreatmentnetwork.org/search/?
