No not at all, a carry permit is just that and an FFL is what you need in order to be a FEDERAL FIREARM LICENSED dealer.

No. An FFL (Federal Firearms License) is a license needed for the buying and selling of firearms, which is governed by the ATF. Example: a gun dealer would need such a license.

A gun carrying permit (CCW permit) is a permit that some State's give to citizens to carry concealed weapons. A citizen must pass a background check and qualify with the gun in order to obtain the permit. Check with your state laws to see if its permitted. If so, the Sheriff's Departments usually is the agency that keeps track of and issues the permits. But, like I said, each State is different.

No. A FFL is a federal firearms license for firearm's dealers. A carry permit is a CCW or concealed carry permit. Getting a CCW is relatively easy in most states if you take a class, go through the background checks, and apply for the permit. A FFL is federal requirement and requires more steps.

Is a firearm carry permit the same as an FFL? You mean, is a 'federal firearms license' the same as a concealed carry permit? No. As the name implies, FFLs are issued on a federal level; concealed carry permits are issued on a State level. They do NOT serve the same purpose. The federal license allows certain persons to deal in firearms; the State permit allows certain qualified citizens to carry a concealed weapon.

No an FFL is a permit to sell firearms. A CCW is a permit to carry in your state and those with reciprocity laws with your state. Having an FFL does not mean you are allowed to carry a firearm, just sell one. In order to carry (except in Alaska and Vermont) you would still need to obtain a CCW at the state level.

NO! A Carry Permit Is Given At A Lower Level Of Government To Carry A Firearm On your Person Or transportation. A FFL Liscence Is Issued To Purchase An Automatic Weapon And Takes Awhile To Get.. Requires STRICT Background Check And Last One I Had Cost Me 200.00 (IS NOT REFUNDABLE) And Was Before The Ban On Automatics..Hard To Say What One Would Cost Nowdays.. Just Because You Have A FFL ,If You Get Caught Packing An UZI In Wal-Mart Your BUTT Is Looking At 10 yrs..

FFL has to do with permission to own (certain kinds) and ship firearms.
Carry permit is a state/local thing.
They aren't related.

No. FFLs are for gun dealers and gun builders who build them for others to buy. A class III permit only allows people to own full-auto machine guns, but not sell them. You have to have a spotless criminal record (which means NO crimes in your past or present) to get a class III permit or an FFL.
