I'm in high school and I like to talk to guys a lot, I feel comfortable and relaxed around them. Guys like to confide in me sometimes and they seem to always tell me about their love life and why isn't this working and what should I do, things like that. Why do they do this? It doesn't make me feel uncomfortable, it just makes me wonder if they see me as a girl or as a guy! None of my female friends have this problem. Guys also don't have any problems telling me the crudest things you can imagine. I have an older brother, so I have accepted that guys think perversely a lot, so I usually don't mind when guys say this stuff, asking my advice or point of view, but is that a turn-off? Should I act horrified when they say this?

They don't tell me about their sexual experiences, I would never listen to that. But if they have a crude joke, they'll tell it to me and I can genuinely appreciate it if it's funny. I'm not shocked easily. The wierdest thing a guy has said to me was when he asked me if only wanted anal sex from a girl meant he was gay. Then I told him something I heard from a comedian, about how since when you watch porn, you want the people to be well-endowed, so doesn't that make everyone a little gay? He looked amazed and told me I was right and shut up after that.

Probably because guys are clueless. You must be a very good friend if they are all running to you about their issues (as weird as that sounds). I think they want your advice because you're a teenage girl and they want to know from that perspective where to go next in their relationships. I also think sometimes they exaggerate on some of those crude things because they are very insecure and like to brag and play games and see "who can go farther with girls". I think it's just a normal teenage guy in high school, even though it is kind of a turn off. Oh well. Boys will be boys. :-)~ How old is your brother, btw?

Good luck! ;-)

Sally, it's time to get a life, and avoid these guys who are having the silliest conversations imaginable. They have nothing to say, so they say the crude stuff. You need a better choice of friends. They do all this because you allow them to do this stuff. Stop allowing it. Young men are immature, reading about sexual matters---gets their brains excited, so they have to resort to talking about it---and you know it never really happens to them---would you have any physical contact with them???They are dreaming and you have gotten to be the one they can talk about it to. And some have a stupid desire to try to shock you or anyone with a torrid story---just for laughs--so stop allowing them to laugh at you, get on with your life--ignore them and excuse yourself from anyone who starts a steamy story. High School is a tough time--start forming an opinion on who is a nice guy and who would be nice date material...then remember, do good in school---take care of obligations, smile, have fun, and good luck. Bye Bye

Maybe you just give good advice! But you better pay attention to the things they say...it may help you in the long run.

most likley it's because they think you're someone that the can trust.Don't worry your not the only one that has to deal with guys telling them everything(even deepest darkest secrets)if u really don't want to listen to them, tell them that(especially if it's their problems)
