OK so there's this girl, I'll call her "Maria". I met Maria a while back..we were best friends..then we started dating. We dated for around seven months before we broke up. It's been on and off ever since..we broke up the "final" time around 2 weeks ago...the problem is when we aren't together, she acts way different, like she likes me when we aren't together, and when we are together she doesn't seem to like me as much. Is it because the feeling only comes back when she knows she can't have me or what? When we aren't together she calls me, and flirts with me, tells me she misses me, and then we end up together again..then when we are together it's dull and boring.

It could be that you and Maria are suffering from a strangely common affliction, that a bad relationship is better than no relationship. It's your mind(s) playing tricks on you.

Nothing says how old "Maria" is but this sounds like immaturity or insecurity on her part. She may be immature in the aspect that she is more interested in the idea of "getting you back" than doing what it takes to maintain the relationship. Also, she may be insecure, feeling that she needs to make sure YOU still want HER regardless of whether she really wants to be together or not.

You two may just be stuck in a rut. It sounds like both of you don't know how to move on, but it also sounds like you need to. Give yourself a period of time, say a week, that you will not call or talk to her, answer her phone calls, and find something else productive to do with your thoughts and your time. After a week, maybe you can try to extend it another week, and another. Eventually you will have moved on.

She's play'n you and you keep fallin for it. You have to decide how you want to feel ( happy or sad.) If she wants to continue play'n the game go ahead and let her. Get you someone else to kick it with, and if she see's you with her don't trip just introduce your new girl to her. You see she does that to you because she knows that she can. Forget about her and move on, everytime you go back you open yourself up for more BS.

Good luck

I've been in a relationship since eighth grade (I'm 24 now). So many times had we "broken up for good." Damn, I should've asked her to marry me. I moved away, so it's likely "off for good."
