i have been talking to this guy for almost a year now. we both know that we like each other but he just has a lot of things going on in his life right now. we have gone out a couple times but only when he has time off of work. we dont consider ourselves going out yet but as soon as his life gets a little more organized he said that we can.meanwhile im just sitting here waiting for it to happen. we always talk to each other though and see each other maybe once a week or two. depending on his job because hes working three of them. my question is should i wait for him to get everything organized so we can start dating?

I say date around and when his life is more organized, re-examine the potential for a relationship. Also, it's amazing how many guys will straighten out the affairs in a NY minute once they know their time is short and the window is small.

I'd watch him closely to see how much he is into me? Does he seem to be warm and affectionate with u and does he give you that attention you need, or does he seem to be aloof, and kinda avoids you. Is he emotionally expressive, or emotionally closed?

If you are getting that aloof vibe with him, maybe he is just stringing you along?

It all depends on his character. U know his character best.

If you feel he means his word, and he truly likes you, and if he has given u a rough ballpark time (say approx. 6 months, or 1 yr etc) then I'd say you could wait if u are ready for that.
Meanwhile stay in good touch with him. Perhaps, even now, u r already dating him, without realizing it.

I know how confusing this can be. Hope it gets resolved soon.

Sorry to break the bad news but he's using you.

He gets what he wants which is occasional contact with you.

He may be in another relationship or married.

Any person, no matter how busy, will make time for loved ones, new dating partners, friends, etc. IF they want to.

Don't believe him any longer. Just break it off and move on.

You'll save yourself a lot of trouble.

You get to ask yourself do really like this guy? If you do then by all means wait. I know that if I was in the same situation with a girl I really liked I would most definitely wait.

This sounds suspicious to me. I think it is time to move on.
I think he's keeping you there in the background just in case he needs someone to fall back on.
Instead of waiting around for him, why don't you do yourself a huge favour and work on your career? And go out and enjoy life.

Is he worth waiting for? Does he put effort into seeing you, do you think that he really likes you?

If you think he is worth waiting for, then wait. Only you can answer this question though, no one on here can tell you.

well why not?
if youre sure that he is being true to you and not having you wait around for nothing, then wait.
besides, if not him, is there even another guy better for you at the moment to move on to?

well you need to make sure he is not playing you then you need to ask yourself is he worth it and then you need to tell him again that even though his life is a bit crazy that you could go out with him anyway

yes, if thats what he says then respect it, if what you got is something real, then let it wait, it will still be there, its better to be stable and date then have frantic arguements and such about little things, i say wait
