Usually when I have these hallucinations I'm inbetween being awake and still being asleep. I see things like spiders hanging from the ceiling or the walls being a totally different color. When I finally break from the hallucination, I feel very disoriented and slightly irritated for a couple of mintues and then I return to sleep as if nothing happend.

What it sounds like is hypnagogic hallucinations. First hypnagogic hallucinations are vivid perceptual experiences occuring at sleep onset, often with realistic awareness of your surroundings. This can also occuring upon waking up. This is a REM-sleep phenomena and is typically assocaited with narcolepsy. Best thing for you to do is go see a sleep doctor.

I never heard of a sleep disorder quite like that. It's possible you're just somewhere between dream state and being awake; and that might be a sign of a sleep disorder or maybe you have hallucinations that aren't related to sleep at all.

IF it bothers you almost every day for over a month, tell a medical doctor.

The only thing I can say on this is that if you are taking any kind of medicine for depression, this happens, especially is you are taking Effexor, but other than that, I really do not know. Sorry.
