I know a girl who says stuff like "they look arrogant" about strangers she's never met.
She also said that these two girls "must think they are so pretty. Well, I think they are ugly."
SHe told me that when she first met me, she didn't like me because she thought I was a sorority girl.
Also, when some other girl told me I was very pretty in front of her. She says "yeah she has a model's body...." She didn't say anything about my face.
Then 2 days after that comment, she randomly brings up mid conversation 'I guess you are pretty." We weren't even talking about looks. Why was she thinking so long about it? Weird.

i guess this is kind of a rant, but the thing is she does this A LOT. i mean most girls just do it once in awhile, but is wear it's endless

she might be a bit jealous of you. so dont pay too much attention if she insults you or anyone else. do you like to be her friend? if you dont then maybe you should end your friendship. hope this helps!

It could be that she has very low self esteem...so trys to point things out about other ppl so she looks better* She may even be jealous of you...how pretty you are and how you have a great figure...It must have been hard for her to say something positive a few days later that you are "pretty"..and probably bothered her cuz she knew she was being rude* and wanted to try to correct it...it was on her mind., which means she cares....She just needs a boost of confidence to build herself up about HER good qualities* Show her how to take care of herself better, a lil makeup to cover blemishes, different hair style or clothing to boost her self esteem* She sounds like once you get to know her...she's a nice girl*

It sounds like she is the type to "judge a book by it's cover"; she doesn't get past first impressions of people which is too bad because there is so much more to a person than what you first see. It also sounds like she might have some self esteem problems.

People usually see in others what they see in themselves. The girl you are talking about seems to have a lot insecurities about herself and is projecting those insecurities by talking about the people around her. Her self-esteem is measured by how she stacks up to the people she's putting down. She's conflicted over who she is and the outer comments are a reflection of the intense inner dialog that's consuming her.
I recommend telling her that you're happy to listen but prefer she not put others down around you. Challenge her to compliment people and to find things she likes about the people she sees, knows or meets.

Some people need to make others look bad, to make themselves feel good. As sad as that is, she is really very insecure and probably has some issues that aren't even apparent to anyone she hangs with. If she's someone that you genuinely care about, maybe ask her why she's so negative about some things, and let her know that making other people look bad, makes her look worse!

She likely enjoys the feeling of being able to judge other people. I'd think she has self-esteem problems, and medicates it by making herself feel like an authority on other people's appearances. She's misinformed about how important her opinion is, hopefully she'll grow out of it.

She's too confused about herself to say anything for sure. With each person she breaks down, she feels as though she getting closer to finding out herself. I know some people like this too, so I feel your pain.

but, she just seems like your normal insecure girl that needs to be arrogant and complain and talk about other people to make her self feel better.

Wow.... she sounds awful. You can only feel sorry for those people.
I've met girls like her. She has a really low self-esteem and only feels better about herself by noting flaws in other people. It's really sad and obnoxious.
