What impact will this have on the food supply?

The mites are destroying their breathing apparatus. They get stuck in their throat and th bees can't breath, it is killing them off slowly. The plants won't be able to pollinate without the bees, and are food source could be in trouble.

CA is going to have a big problem. Almonds and other crops need bees and we are not sure what is causing the problem this time. LOOK UP BEE's IN SEARCH GOOD ANSWER THE OTHER DAY

I'm not sure but considering honey is used in alot of products I'm sure the affect would be bad though not devastating.Did you know honey is the only food that will basically last forever without preservatives or refrigeration???

Not enough bee vitamins? Sorry, couldn't resist. I think it will be a big hit on our food chain, agriculturally speaking. Not good news at all... esp for the vegetarians! Sorry again.
