it's just a mass of cells with human dna in it. so is dandruf. and hair. and finger nails. but the difference is, the embryo could >potentionally< grow into a human being. so if abortion (the ending of a >Potential< life) is murder, why is'nt wearing a condom murder too?

An embryo growing inside a woman has no "potential" to be anything but a human to begin with, additionally the embryo is already life... albeit life dependent on another. Therefore the potential has become actual.
A condom prevents the sperm from fertilizing the egg, and doesn't end the potential of anything rather prevents the potential of beginning life.

thank you Jesusfreak- that was a great answer. I could not have said it better myself. Did you know that there is a law that says there is a fine of up to $2,000 if someone breaks a condor egg and kills the embryo of the baby condor- but if a woman does that it is called choice, LIFE begins at conception. That mass of cells that you call it at 3 weeks after conception the baby's heart is beating. This is a scientific fact. NO it is not a potential life, it is life. A condom keeps you from getting pregnant -usually- so there was no conception, so therefore no life. If that mother lost a baby at the same stage to miscarriage- it would be the loss of life. So please lets call abortion what it is - murder.

Let's take the pro-life thing to the logical conclusion of their apologia. At the moment of first menses a female shall have to go and have the child within her made viable by the insertion of a sperm from a male that has masturbated into the proper container and then the resultant life must be carried to term. In this way there is "no child left behind."

And then we will have a brave new prolife world.

The Psalmist beautifully said about the Creator "Your eyes saw even the embryo of me" (Ps 139:16).

Along with these words in verse 15 "..when I was made in secret, when I was woven in the lowest parts of the earth."

These inspired thoughts helps us to see that an embryo is a life, an individual.

Using birthcontrol (like a condom) would not be murder, for it prevents conception (a life to begin). It doesn't end it. Like abortion does.

(Some birthcontrol mini pills can be abortional. So can the "day-after-pill" be.)

Nothing anymore special than a 1 hour old child, or a 87 year old adult... but definitely different than dandruff or a fingernail.

The difference between an embryo and sperm is that sperm on it's own is not an individual life. And yes, there are those who would say using a condom is a sin...

by the time a woman realizes shes preggo and wants an abortion the baby is already looking like a baby. Please see what a baby looks at 3 and 4 months. Most women who see their child in ultra sound chose to keep the baby. I was about to get a 2nd abortion before I knew Christ when the baby started kicking in me and all of a sudden I knew I murdered the 1st one. Abortion is definately murder, go see the graphic pictures on how it is done.

It is a person that is growing inside of a woman. It isn't a clump of cells or "is dandruf. and hair. and finger nails". It is a developing human. Abortion ISN'T the ending of a "potential" life, it's the ending of a life, period. Wearing a rubber prevents the fertilization of the egg, which then becomes life. Wearing a rubber is better than having to kill an innocent, defenseless, unborn child. And to all of you Pro-death people, you are all foolish. What if your mom got an abortion. You wouldn't be here answering this question now would you? Abortion is murder an that's all there is to it.

That's all you were at first, so by the same token why not just put an end to a person's life if you don't want them around?
We either can choose life or we can choose death? The point that needs to be made is not what you think or I think its what our creator thinks that counts. It might not hurt to find out ?

Check out the pictures and commentary, then ask yourself if what you're talking about is really "just a mass of cells with human DNA in it."

What's the difference between an embryo and a 102 year old? They both are human, both have life, and both are just in a different stage of life. Kill either one and it's murder.
