Does anyone know what is the best ford year model to get, if I want to add 150hp on it? I heard about chips and after market parts, but I also heard you can still blow up the 6.0L engine or mess it up real bad, and the transmition will not last. Can anyone help me? What do you think is the best way to gain the extra power safely, where my engine and transmition will not fall apart in only two years. Also, I will not switch to any other truck maker.

The best advice would be to advise you to call Gale Banks Engineering (1-800-340-6432) and you can visit them on the web at bankspower.com No one knows more about turbo charging diesels than Gale Banks (GM and Ford both have consulted with Banks about improvements on their factory engines) and they have been doing it since 1958. They will know exactly how much horsepower each year model can take without it breaking anything and they will also know the least expensive way to make that power and what else may need to be strengthened to keep making that power. Banks will also know exactly what you need to do to the transmission to keep from having problems in the future.

Can you wait a month? You'll like the new 2008 with the 6.4. The twin turbo is a hoss and they've upgraded the interiors and have some new options with it like navigation and the rear step to get in the bed.
