She is 4 years old and has always been healthy. But since last night, she's been acting very strangely. She is very weak and slow, and she trembles from time to time. The worst and most upsetting symptom is that when she's walking around, she will suddenly cry out very loudly or whine with no visible reason for her pain. Mostly she seems to cry out when she jumps up on the bed or when she goes from sitting to standing. She also starting pooping a lot more than usual. Her poop is solid, not runny, but is softer than usual, and yellow and green in color. I checked it for worms, so that's not the problem. When I gently rub her belly, it is not swollen or bloated, but feels cramped and hard to the touch. These symptoms, when combined, seem to point to stomach/abdomen troubles. Lastly, she is very standoffish and does not want to lay in bed with me, which is very unusual--she is normally highly affectionate and cuddly. What is wrong with her? What can I do to make her feel better??

Sounds like she could have a number of problems, but all of them are serious!

I had a cat once that reacted that way b/c it had been poisoned with antifreeze and was going into liver failure!

Additionally, there could be something blocking a portion of her digestive tract, she may have a hernia, or she may have caught some type of disease.

PLEASE! If you want her to live and be healthy, take her to the vet ASAP!!!!!

Get her to a vet. May have swallowed something & it's stuck in her digestive tract. If she's pooping, prob. not the case, but you never know. Lost two of the best dogs I ever had to that. Symptoms sound kind of familiar to me.

Get her to the vet immediately! Until then, keep her in her crate and keep her as quiet and as comfortable as possible - it may be that she has hurt her back - that would cause the abdomen to harden as well.
