A couple of days ago i said to a guy that i would do something with him, but i was only joking, and he got really upset. I didnt think it was such a big deal.

guys get upset because they get sexually frustrated, and so do girls. A guy wont be as upset if there is an actual follow through with the teasing.

Because teasing is lame... it takes a guy a lot of courage to risk rejection and ask a girl out. When she treats it like a joke its like a slap in the face. Look at it from his perspective. Its just a messed up and self-serving way to treat people.

You were joking, and some guys should know the difference between what's a joke and what's actual flirting. Knowledge of whether you're in a relationship or not should help him.
However, for future reference, guys don't like feeling like they're being made fun of. To some guys, being rejected is intense humiliation because they work so hard to please girls, and they get laughed at. It hurts.

I've been wondering that question forever. My friend has blonde hair and blue eyes so as a joke I told him that those are the least bright. And he got totally pissed at me. I don't know, girls make a big deal of their appearance sometimes. Guys make a big deal out of their reputation and image all the time.

Most female teasing males has a sexual overtone in it and men take sex seriously. the female is only 'baiting' him for fun or to feed her hungry ego. this is very unfair and can contribute to violence, sex crimes ect. after wards everyone says "poor baby, why did this happen to her?" the truth may be that she brought it on herself! do some thinking ladies before it's to late!

well. if you actually tell a guy you want to "do something" with him, he really gets his hopes up. and if you say just kidding, he feels cheated out of something. therefore resulting in being upset.

If it was something sexual i kno y. Guys crave sex and making out and stuff like that so when they think its gonna happen and it doesnt we become very disappointed and become angry at the person who "teased" us.
