Well it does sound serious, I would take him to the vet right away.
Whatever you do don't listen to Randall H because if your dog were to get Parvo there is a treatment a vet can give your dog to save its life.
I know because I had a dog recover from Parvo a few years ago with the help of a vet and meds the vet gave me.
But I seriously doubt your dog has Parvo he is too old for that disease. Especially if he has had his shots. Parvo usually afflicts puppies younger than 1 year old. Parvo also includes diarrhea.
Sounds like your dog ate something he should not have. Either way take it to the vet. That is the only way to be sure.
Good Luck.

Sounds like parvo. Take him to the vet immediately because:
"Survival rate depends on how quickly it is diagnosed and how aggressive the treatment is. Diagnosis is made through detection of CPV in the feces, although the presence of bloody diarrhea and a low white blood cell count in an unvaccinated dog are strong indications of infection. Treatment usually involves extensive hospitalization, including IV fluids, antinausea injections, and antibiotic injections. Even with hospitalization, there is no guarantee that the dog will survive."

Not sure what the problem is, but you need to get him to the vet, STAT!!! He is obviously sick, especially if he has vomited blood. I would definately call the vet and see what they suggest at least for the evening and then get him into them in the AM unless they tell you otherwise. This doesn't sound good at all.

They the two did properly on the drug. Duffie regarded completely greater advantageous in a pair of days, nevertheless he achieved the antibiotics because of the fact those could desire to consistently be achieved. Josie replaced into down a splash longer, yet no longer because of the fact of an infection or the drug. She had stitches. Its "human" equivalent is Augmentin and is a mix drug, made up of Amoxicillan and Clavulanate. it rather is used to handle pores and skin infections, wound infections, bone infections and oral infections. it could additionally be used as a prophylactic . It kills micro organism by skill of inhibiting production of the bacterial cellular wall and is particularly secure nevertheless could desire to easily be used on the advice of a veterinarian. it rather is real of all antibiotics because of the fact of susceptibility and drug tolerance. it fairly is going to get carry of as according to guidelines and the medicine could desire to be finished thoroughly. it rather is given after a meal to help with the nausea it could reason. The prevalence of genuinely vomiting with Clavamox is particularly low at 10%. it could additionally reason some loose stool or diarrhea. it rather is the comparable reaction that could happen with undeniable Amoxiicillan and is brought about by skill of the replace in intestinal micro organism. To the Vet ... vomitting blood is a sure sign it is not something to just blow off... do you have any d-con laying around? That would be my biggest fear..
Should he lay on his side and straighten his legs out kind of stiff like that is a sign that he is about ready to die... Should this happen call your vet ASAP even on a Sunday...
GOOD LUCK

Take him to a Vet.
Now!
These symptoms can indicate SERIOUS problems!
The least of these could be a blockage somewhere caused by something that he has eaten.
If you dont get him to a vet SOON, you may lose him.
GO TO THE VET!!

Your pup is really very sick. Please take him to an emergency vet right away.
Blood in the vomit is not good at all. I know it's Sunday but find a 24 hour emergency vet and GO!

Sounds like parvo! Get ready for lots of caring for of this animal, shoot pedialite down his throat with a suringe and also pepto, when he after a about 8 hours you can start to give him baby food in the suringe. You have to give him the pedialite EVERY hour. My dog did this same thing, and this is what the Vet told me to do, also, if it is parvo then there isn't anything the Vets can do for it, you just have to hope he pulls out of it. Another sign would be loose bowels, with or without blood. Hope hes okay.

I KNOW EVERYONE IS FREAKING OUT BUT DID THE DOG EAT SOMETHING THAT COULD HAVE MADE HIM SICK AND IF SO WAS IT RED? (YOU SAID THERE IS BLOOD)
MY DOGS GET A HOLD OF STUFF SOMETIMES AND IF IT DOES NOT AGREE WITH THIER TUMMYS THEY GET SICK. IF THE FOOD WAS RED THEN THE PUKE IS RED. THINK BACK TO WHAT THE LITTLE GUY ATE BEFORE YOU SPEND HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS ON A VET! I HOPE HE PULLS THROUGH!
