oolong tea has been compared to green tea. it's healthy cuz it has polyphenols that act as antioxidants. antioxidants work wonders with your body, they help keep free radicals in check (free radicals cause a lot of health problems). it also has more catechin than black teas and more thearubigin than green teas. im an avid green tea drinker, but i recommend any tea as a healthy habit

She said wulong tea helps burn fat quickly. The truth is more complicated.

Compared to other weight loss herbs, wulong tea does have some decent studies.

The most convincing evidence comes from a 2003 Taiwanese study involving more than 1,100 adults for 10 years.

The researchers found that the 140 regular tea drinkers for more than 10 years had the lowest body fat and waist-to-hip ratio compared to non regular tea drinkers.

They concluded that long term drinking of green tea and oolong tea may help burn fat.

A 2003 Japanese study found that oolong tea burns 10% more energy compared to water.

If you burn 2,000 calorie a day, this translates to 200 calories, roughly the same amount of calories in two-half small bananas. It is significant, but don’t expect quick results.

The link below also answers the question if wulong tea is better than green tea for losing weight.

Drinking wu-long tea was shown to increase the rate of fat oxidation. This is probably why it is gaining a reputation as a fat burning food.
Yet another study reported in "Diabetes Care" involving subjects with type 2 diabetes, drinking wu-long tea was shown to have a glycemic affect, significantly reducing blood glucose levels.
Wu-long tea significantly lowered concentrations of plasma glucose and fructosamine. Researches concluded that wu-long tea may be an effective adjunct to oral hypoglycemic medications in the treatment of type 2 diabetes.
