I have never heard of a child potty train in 5 hours. I would be weary of any book that claimed that. I have two boys - a 3 1/2 year old and a 5 year old, both who are potty trained. It's not easy and there's really no cookie cutter way to train all children. They all respond to different ways of potty training. I can tell you what worked for us. My older one could care less about rewards - stickers didn't work, candy, cool underwear... nothing! One day, we had totally run out of clothes and I had him walking around with no clothes on. Well, the urge came, he ran to the bathroom and went potty. After that, he was potty trained.
My second one was easier. All I had to say was ice cream and he was a potty machine! I know bribery's not always the best solution, but it worked that time!!
The best advice I can give is to remain consistent, make a big deal about being a big girl/boy and wearing big girl/boy panties/underwear. It will be rough and a difficult few days with many loads of laundry washed, but it will happen. I can assure you it will! Hang in there... you're not alone!

Every child is different! There are some children that don't need much practice and are using the potty right away and there are other kids in which potty training becomes a long term project! I would definitely be open ideas from this book. I really feel the best advice comes from experience. Talk to other parents and see what worked for their child/children. Try different techniques out. You may have to customize them to fit your child's development and needs. When you find something seems to motivate your child, stick with it. Just remember to be consistent in however you decided to do this! Good luck!

For some sure, its not how fast they are potty trained, its if they stay that way. Get it, its worth a shot, I bought a book for 6.95 on the subject and never read it.
What worked for me was letting him use pull-ups and taking him to the toilet every time I had the urge to go and asking him to give it a try, and it worked.

It has some helpful techniques but you need patience, it's not going to happen in 5 hours. Go ahead and buy it, just have realistic expectations.

Since no two kids OR their parents are alike.. I figure it CAN work. Will it work for you? Only time and your money can tell

Yes. Just have a pants-off weekend and your kid will get the hang of it.
