i was taught that they DO have free will but as per my last questions, many people obviously disagree.

Who said angels don't have free will? I don't personally know that much about them- I don't think anyone does. But as you say, the very fact that they rebelled against God indicates that they do have free will.

I read in a religious discussion that because Lucifer and his followers chose to fall the remaining angels had their free-will taken from them to ensure that Heaven would never be torn asunder. However, it's not necessarily a widely-held belief and I've only heard it expressed by a handful of people.

Further research has given me to understand that angels have free will, but they always choose to obey God. They do, however, have the freedom to choose not to, though it comes at a hefty price, as illustrated by Lucifer's fall.

hmmm...i answered you other question. I'm just trying to think what i was taught. i know for sure that god created angels to worship him so technically, damn it's really confusing lol. I know afterward he created man for sure to have free will, so it would kindof make sense that god would have made angels to not have free will, but i could b wrong about that. by the way i don't believe in the bible, but i'll keep an eye on other responses. anyways, if god was perfect and all y would he create things to serve him and hope that they would want him. the bible is so inconsistent

Where does it say they made a "choice" not to follow Satan? Angles only do what God commands them, they are obedient, they are neither male nor female, they don't eat or drink, they don't marry or produce children they are made from light and solely for the purpose of obeying God. God told the angels to prostrate to Adam and they all did without fail. Satan although he was raised to be among angels was not an angel and had no authority over angles.

I read your other question and saw some of the answers. I can tell you that they won't revolt again because they don't have Satan there to lead them astray as they did before. As far as them having free will, I know that they are there to serve God. What you are talking about took place before mankind according to the Bible and won't happen again. I don't know everything but just prayed to give you the most honest answer I could.

They had a free will when they were created. After lucifers little, problem, the ones that weren't cast out got fixed...kind of like how little Pookie now can't make puppies...

Lucifer spiked some of the punch at the last Holy family reunion before the fall.

I believe ,as you stated, that they must have had free will, otherwise there wouldn't have been the rebellion with Lucifer. One third followed him and fell with him.

Every thing God created is said to have free will, so that no one can blame God for what happens.
