When you're away, give him something like a puzzle toy(ones where you may hide treats in) and have some music playing. Classical music is actually one of the closest in relation to the sounds found in nature. These will distract the puppy while alone.
When arriving home, greet the puppy but don't take it out immediately (here's the hard part) when it quiets approach it. When it cries, pay it no mind. The puppy must learn that it will not be taken out in response to it making noise.
When home don't just have it out only to put it back in for the day or before going to sleep. Leave the kennel open and take it to the different areas of the house where you and others gather (won't be seen as prison) play game around and in it, so that the puppy enjoys entering it. On weekends is the best time to reinforce this.
When it does cry PLEASE don't take it out or give it the attention that it has learned is an automatic response.
Remember to give it a wide variety of toys that would require it to think, instead of just sit there and chew. (Please don't leave it with rawhide or any of those large bones. I've seen really bad cases regarding those items)
The clinic that I worked for has doggy daycare/puppy play time sessions, where we socialize the puppy with different environments and other dogs. They have fun, eat lunch, and get special training. Perhaps one of your local vets offer something similar. If only for a week or two the puppy should come out all the better. If the sessions aren't available, then by all means just ask them their opinion about what steps you ought to take. Hope take.
If possible, is there some way that someone could come home on a lunch break to give the dog a kind of "puppy break". Allow it to stretch its legs and go on back in?
Hope that this helped out some. Good Luck.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://bitly.im/aL37N
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

Have a friend or a hired sitter to come and take him out during the day. He can't hold "it" that long during the day as he's so young. Keeping in the crate that long during the day is abusing the crate.
At night, put your fingers in the crate to comfort the puppy, this usually only needs to be done for a few nights, and works well with my pups.
If he is spending that much time in his crate during the day, that is also going to lead to night time crate issues. Its simply not right to crate a puppy that long, overnight is one thing, during the day is other.

Puppies as young as yours usually do cry alot when they are left alone cause their not used to it. Try getting him a stuffed toy to cuddle up to it helped when my dog was a pup. and as for going potty try a kitty litter. puppies usually poo within 20 mins of being fed so when you are home take him out side about 10 mins after you feed him (every time) and he will get used to that and will soon start letting you know when he needs to go.
Its hard work looking after a pup and it usually results less sleep.
GOOD LUCK!
I hope my answer helped you..

He is very young to hold it all day, so please try to get someone to at least let him out once during the day!
At night, if you can't let him snuggle with you, than put a hot water bottle in with him, with a blanket wrapped around it. And you could also try a clock, make sure it has a ticking sound, wrap it up in a blanket and put it in the kennel with him, I guess the ticking reminds them of their mommys heart beat.

you can keep you the dog in a crate till you get home. A dog won't potty where they sleep, because they don't like to lay in the urine.
The puppy will be fine the whole time your gone but potty him out side before you go to school and he will learn to hold it for that long
Talk to your vet he will be able to give you some suggestions

first of all, you may desire to no longer placed her in for no reason [basically asserting] on condition that she's slumbering in a random section, you place her in. If she does something undesirable [like pee on something] you place her in, if she whines, you hit the kennel. and he or she could desire to get quiet. If no longer, basically shop shushing her. and at last by skill of time she could desire to get used to it and bypass into her kennel every time she needs to sleep. [she'll even attempt to close the door] I also have a 9 month old pomeranian and he's previous loopy! So do those issues and that i'm exceedingly valuable she'll shush down. Yep, my pom replaced into 12 weeks when I have been given him. in case you basically have been given her you in all hazard experience undesirable while she whines stunning? [thats how i replaced into] don't experience undesirable [or do no longer instruct which you do] and permit her be responsive to who's boss! playstation : bypass to Wall Mart and get domestic dog coaching pads. placed a towel interior the crate and the domestic dog coaching pads over the towel and it rather enables! those issues saved my existence! as quickly as she rather falls in love together with her crate [reason my pom did] she will no longer decide for to pee in it reason she will no longer wanna grimy it. domestic dog coaching PADS = existence SAVER!

Well, 6 weeks old is way too young.. he should not have been removed from his mom and littermates until 8 weeks of age...
NOT a good breeder...
Guess you will just have to suffer with this little guy and try to understand that he was way too young to be taken..
Talk to me when he is 8 weeks old and I will, at that time, help you with the house and crate training.
GOOD LUCK
