I am so sorry. I don't know if you have any way to get to a counselor, but I recommend it. Medication is available that has generics that are very affordable. Exercise has been shown to be as effective as Zoloft for some people. Pat answers sound so...well...pat. If you feel deperate, CALL SOMEONE NOW!

You are depressed. Here are some depression tips on coping until you can see a counselor or doctor (preferably BOTH)
If your depression seems to be more of a problem in the winter, try to get more sun. You could have seasonal affective disorder, or SAD, or your depression could have a seasonal component, meaning you can get depressed other times of the year, but you tend to have more trouble in the winter. A light box is really good if you can afford one (about $300 online, don't get it at a local store, they will charge more for a light less than 1/2 as bright).
Exercise more. Exercise is a natural antidepressant. Go out for a walk when things are really bad. force yourself to do it.
Try meditation tapes like progressive muscle relaxation or guided imagery. They may seem silly at first, but they work!! Hopefully your library will have some of these tapes.
Go out with friends, and if you don't have any, find a club to join and MAKE yourself go until you actually look forward to it. Isolation makes depression worse, MUCH worse!!
Try to regulate how much sleep you get. Go to bed and get up at the same time every day.
Do things that comfort you, or do things that distract you. Like take a bath, put on your favorite clothes, read a novel, draw or paint, etc.
Good luck!! see a doctor and see about getting a counselor. These things help and are good even when you are taking meds.

I remember I used to be depressed all the time, and truthfully I still am.
Even though I have a boyfriend I love, and am doing very well in school, and have pretty good friends, I am still depressed.
life is depressing.
so I cut, cry, drink, take pills, and write crazy things.
My psychiatrist and psychotherapist said I could be losing my mind, but I don't believe so.
life sucks.
To help myself I hang out with my boyfriend a lot.
A lot a lot. He helps me with everything.
If it weren't for him I probably wouldn't be here anymore.
Seriously.
I also draw and write. It's calming and you can say or express whatever you want without being judged.
I listen to music frequently too.
Reading, movies, being outside, and listening has also kept me alive.
One of my favorite things to do is go outside all alone, sit down, and just watch and listen.
It's wonderful. No matter what kind of mood you're in, it will always make you feel better.
I promise.
If you need some one to talk to, you can e-mail me at ShadowsOf_Ruin@yahoo.com
or by my AIM screen name of neonxmassacre
consider yourself fortunate because I have never given out this personal information to a stranger.
but I have suffered, am suffering, and always will suffer.
so in a way, we're mutually in this together.

I know exactly how you feel. (((hug)))
You are probably experiencing clinical depression. Feeling hopeless, not wanting to get up, not finding joy in the things you used to enjoy. Going to work or school is probably difficult. You dont feel as though anyone understands and you feel as though your world is crashing and it is heavy.
I too have felt this before and all I can advise you is to go to your mental health center. If you cant pay, tell them you cant pay and they will probably see you anyway. You may need to see someone for a while and maybe go on an antidepressant.
I quit my job because it became too difficult to get up in the morning. I lived on my retirement money and now I have none. Real smart huh. Well, I was feeling hopeless. I then went to the mental health center and they took me without paying them and I saw someone for about 6 months. They put me on an antidepressant and the counselor helped me get my feet back on the ground and get a job. I then also got help with my bills and am okay today. ((((hug))))
The hard part begins with getting yourself to the mental health center. You must do this! Just concentrate on putting that one foot infront of the other. I know it is that difficult. (((hug))

Talk to someone, a friend, family member, professional, anyone you feel you can trust. Also try getting out with a friend and being around people. Being busy and being around people will generally get your mind off anything that's going on, and will help you feel better.
If it continues for a while, I would most definitely go see a professional. It sounds like it may even be to that point. But don't let it get much worse, because it is painful, and I don't want you to suffer mor than you have to.

First of all, IM me or email me right now! I can help make you feel better. Okay, how old are you? Can you or are you able to talk to anyone , anyone about this? At least you reached out to us. OK, try to see a therapist asap. If you have anyone to talk to, do it. I have been depressed and I think most people out there have been so don't worry, you are not alone! Medication will help big time, and so will talking about it. Sometimes people get depressed for a reason, sometimes there isn't a reason, but depression comes and goes. Don't try to kill yourself, there are things to live for.

i felt like you when I was in high school. I did not want to do anything and it seemed like no one understood what i was feeling. I decided that I should try focusing my attention on something that could make me feel happy easily. Sports. I remembered how happy i was to make a shot when playing basket ball. I liked how it felt to stop someone from making their shot. it kind of makes you feel like some of the sadness you feel is being passed on to them, which isn't a nice thought but it makes you feel a weird satisfaction. I tried volley ball too. smashing a ball as hard as you can feels good.
lifting weights releases a lot of stress.
I like running best of all because when i was running it felt as if though I was leaving my worries behind. besides, all of these activities are strenuous and force you to focus on the immediate tasks

You are not hopeless. There are people out there who help people like you and me everyday. They don't do it for the money, they do it because they hurt once upon a time and they decided to learn how to help us. The why to end feeling powerless is to gain power and strength really does come in numbers. Why are you struggling alone? You don't have to. Call for help. I did. I told the truth and I got on a medication that really works. I'll be praying for you.

There are two important things you need to understand:
1. You need to see a doctor, especially for the suicide feelings.
2. All depressions that have suicide implications are temporary. It would be such a waste for you to kill yourself when the thing that's bothering you would have gone away.

Try and forget your own problems by being a soul aware and in service to others, it has worked for me. We all have a higher self within us who's nature is love and empathy towards all.
