What a JERK, and a horrible excuse of a man.
It is true. sad but true.
Almost sounds like he is telling on himself.

Concern and red flags are going up...

If that is not the most nastiest thing to say, i don't know what is!
I am so sorry this was said to you but i hate to say it, at that age children may retain a brief memory but since they are that young they may in time forget. If it was told to them that the new partner is the mother they would not know any different at least after a litttle time. I am so sorry once again. What a horrible partner you have. Stay strong and raise your daughter yourself, and tell your partner you have just taken that as a threat and notify the authorities. They will keep it on record. Good luck.

Well it is probably true, at 9mths she would really have no memory of you. Only what her father chose to tell her of your memory. I am wondering what the two of you were talking about that brought all of this conversation into effect. I don't know the context of which the two of you were speaking, so I can not comment on whether it was right or wrong. That is for you to decide. However what he said is true. And the same goes for him. God bless****

i have no idea why he would randomly say something like that to you, but it is true
my mother died when i was a baby and my father remarried when i was still in diapers. she is the only mother i have ever known. and the only one that i remember. i know i once had another mother only because i have seen photos, but in all honesty it is like she never existed.
quite frankly, there have only been one or two times in my entire life when it occurred to me that she wasn't my "real" mom. one was when i was filling out a health questionaire at a doctors office and they asked about breast cancer and such in the family and i don't recall what the other instance was.
what he said was true, but his reasons for saying it were really uncalled for.
he was just trying to hurt you and that is shameful.

It proves He does not have much respect or love for you and You should throw him out of your life and the baby's. How He can be so inconsiderate is beyond me. You should cut him off and remind Him how insignificant He is in her life. You could also remind him how quickly You could replace Him with a good lover that would think better of You.

she would know that you're not around but a 9 mo. old doesn't have that kind of memory to remember details. if he were a decent guy he would teach his daughter about her mother. however, he doesn't seem very decent if he said something that hurtful to you. he never, even kidding, should say those things. let him know how it made you feel.that was just sh*tty of him!

He's wrong. A baby always knows their mother from everyone else. That's why it's called bonding.

Well it is really mean that he said that to you but if the baby is nine months old, it wouldn't remember you.
