There are plenty of getting out of it ways. Like saying that you don't feel a spark, or you think that there are some things that would make you incompatible...this could be anything, or something telling him that you really like having him as a friend and you don't want things to change.
You sound like a really nice girl, who likes appreciate qualities in him. You should really makes those things known, because then he not only has a bad memory, but also can remember the great things he has to offer.
Good luck girl! We have all been here!

If he is your friend then you really should tell him how you feel. You should talk to him before he asks you out. Tell him "People have come up to me and said you like me but i really like you as a friend and I would LOVE to be best friends but i do not want to be your girlfriend i am really sorry."

women get advice from their girlfriends, not a guy they choose to "do." So what have been you thinking giving them advices such as you at the instant are not a dude!? next time tell them which you get carry of **** to do. women at the instant are not attracted to "helpful" adult adult males yet they finally end up marrying them whilst they're uninterested in handling the undesirable boys. So except you're searching for a spouse, provide up being their doormat - do not communicate on the telephone for too long and continuously be the 1st to hold up (I gotta flow, i'm going to call you back, I gotta yet another telephone call, I could desire to shield something... be mysterious. uninteresting isn't appealing) - Tease them each and every so frequently. undergo in suggestions once you have been in consumer-friendly college and those undesirable boys might tease women, they had cry then they only does not recover from them on an analogous time as they'll play with the helpful adult adult males? yea... They unconsciously choose the undesirable boy's approval. believe me. So shaggy dog tale around something and don't be scared to declare something like "damn, the place did you get those shoes... classic?" lol yet in a joking way on the grounds which you dont wanna look propose.. anyhow sturdy success. yet once you decide on extra advice, be at liberty to digital mail me :)

I had the same thing happen to me as a teenager.
I said that I did not want to take a chance of dating & it not working out & then losing his friendship. He seemed ok with it and we remained friends. We are still friends now.
Honesty is always the best policy.

Just drop alot of obvious hints like saying "you are a great friend" or talk about guys you like around him so he gets the picture. Then he won't ask you out and things won't get awkward.

You just have to be honest. Let him know you are flattered that he is interested, but your feelings for him are only as friends. Sometimes the truth hurts, but in the end its much better to have been honest.
