our good deed might ruined by our bad tongue.
we have to make a love relationship and said a good words.
.In Islam
If somebody call you names just leave him alone because you will take from his good deeds and if he did not have a good deeds he will take from your bad deeds.
If you curse someone , one of you will be cursed either him if he is worthy to be cursing or you if he is not worthy to be cursing.
women used to cursed part of their behavior speech that is why they are more in number in hell than men.

Sin is too strong a word. There are levels of sins - so to speak. This range goes from the complete no no-s to things that should be avoided. Swearing and cursing falls into this category. It's better if you don't do it as you're disrespecting yourself. I remember hearing/reading about something about why debase a tongue with curses when it could be used to praised God instead?
Having said that, sometimes a good profanity just seems to sum up exactly what you're feeling. -We're all human.

yes. and calling names to someone the names he/she didnt like is or calling people with bad name is the same with curse.
however, its not a major sin. do repent anytime you curse, and if you pissed instead of cursing, say astaghfirullah...
