I love most of the Yahoo! sports services, but are any other boxing fans extremely frustrated by the fact that the new Boxing page has UFC/MMA and Kickboxing stories/pictures all over it??? This is like going to the IRL site and seeing NASCAR pics everywhere! I've sent Yahoo! 3 or 4 emails trying to explain that Boxing and UFC are not the same thing, but I never get a response. If this bothers you as much as it bothers me, send them feedback--there's strength in numbers!

I hate UFC/MMA. I think it's barbaric and none of the fighters are any good at boxing....strictly streetfighting with rules which doesnt make any sense other than people can watch a regulated brawl. I dont take anything away from these guys as far as training guys and they are tough, no question. But they are nowhere near as talented as a world class professional boxer. It's a thing of beauty to watch a Floyd Mayweather or Pernell Whitaker box the ears off the guy in front of him. It's a lot less impressive to watch guys roll all over the floor trying to get the other to tap out. Just doesnt do anything for me. Chuck Liddell would get destroyed by a smaller heavyweight/cruiserweight. Roy Jones would starch him if they had only gloves on. Of course, in UFC they can kick (like girls), wrestle (like behind the school when we were 13) and they can choke. Takes real talent to do that!!!!! Give me a break. The fad will last maybe a another year then people will realize it's a sham deal and go back to the real sport, boxing.

Actually what bothers me is the fact they have no individual UFC/MMA page. Boxing is a dying sport...every week I read new articles on the subject. Pro boxers are so concerned with clean records they prefer to fight no name challengers that don't stand a chance...fans have no interest in that...there's no greats fighting each other anymore...the only event to match that is mayweather and de la hoya in may. the UFC is not the ridiculously barbaric sport it was in the 90s...it is now a highly technical sport that requires better athleticism than boxing...you need to be an expert at stand-up (boxing, muay thai, kickboxing), wrestling, jiu jitsu, and have excellent cardio! Mixed Martial Arts is not just a fad...it is an evolved technical combat sport! Best thing about MMA is the fact they always strive to organize top matchups unlike boxing...BOXING SUCKS!
