Depends, if he is shy it means nice looking, or if he doesn't want to make a big deal about it he might say nice person just to be nice. I think you need to find our for yourself.

Depends, if you have sat and spoken to him for a while, then it probably means that your a nice person.
If you have never spoken to him before, or just spoken in passing then it means nice looking.
