Fats, especially hydrogenated ones, and saturated ones. Not only does fat bypass your crebs cycle; (does not get used immediately for energy and goes straight to fat cells for storage), but excess fats clogs arteries, and hydrogenated oils cause cancer.

Also please note, carbs are not bad for you. Our brain needs at least 150 grams of carbs per day just to function properly. It is when people eat tons of refined packaged food that they get fat off carbs. Carbs are your friend:)

fats are carbs, but carbs are not necessarily just fat. Saturated fats are worse than unsaturated fats, but carbs in excess are ok if you're trying to put on weight. Too much protein can make you tired and sluggish, but proteins are the sourc of muscle growth. Excess carbs or fats are worse for someone trying to lose weight but are necessary for long distance athletes such as triathletes. Excess protein would be worse for the triathlete than carbs. A bodybuilder, on the other hand, would be worse off taking excess fats.

High glycemic carbs have the worst effect on your diet. They cause the release of insulin in the body. Look up insulin in wikipedia. Take note of the fact that insulin predisposes the body to store more fat. Any other nutrietn in excess can also be detrimental to your health.

I vote proteins as a diet too high in these can cause heart problems and death.
Fat will too but not as quickly.
