I'm 15 years old, and a sophomore in high school. I know I'm too young to drink, but I have drank before, and I like to. My parents are seriously too overprotective and I haven't even been to a highschool party yet. I really want to go to one and drink. All my friends and the rest of the kids get to these parties and have a good time, and it seems like my parents are the only ones who care. I know its good that they do, but i REALLY just want to go have a good time. I don't do drugs or anything, nor will i take drinking to far, why can't they just let it slip? PLEASE HELP ME.

Listen to your parents, they know what is best for you.

Listen up that is why your parents are overlyprotective because if you have friends that are having a party that allows alcohol to underage kids and someone kids hurt killed or the party gets raided how do you think your parents would feel if it was you that got in a car accident because you could not follow your parents instructions being sneaky isn't the solution you are just imature and you just don't get it getting drunk is not cool besides you will probably get caught my kids thought they would be sneaky also and got caught being sneaky a couple of times and they were caught by the police so it doesn't pay that is why they have laws..I was an overly protective parent and now my daughter has 2 children of her own she can be overly protective of so they won't get into any trouble as they grow older or they won't get hurt, my son is still single and he has no kids..

your parents are trying to help save you from yourself. If you think they are overprotective now you just go ahead and sneak into a party you know you were not supposed to go to. When they find out, and they will, you will have lost their trust and then they will really clamp down hard. You need to show them that you are a responsible person that they can trust to do the right thing and show them that you have good judgement and perhaps they might loosen the grip a little. Sneaking out will only make things a lot worse.

15 is WAAAAY too young to be drinking and it's extremely dangerous for young people especially. I wish you could see some of the things us older people have, dead friends, ruined lives. Young people should go out, but the need to add drinking to everything is unfortunate. Sorry I'm no help, but you are lucky your parents are aware enough of what happens to stop you from making a big mistake.

Okay from personal experience on this one, no matter how overly protective you think your parents are; be thankful that they care about you. Just remember that they aren't doing things to upset you, they're trying to protect you and keep you from making bad decisions. Trust your parents and don't go sneaking around because you'll just end up hurting yourself AND your parents, and in the long run you will thank your parents for protecting you.

Drinking is for dopes! If all your friends and the rest of the kids jump off a cliff, will you follow them. Ask your parents if you can have some friends over your house while they chaperon a party.

The real question is, do you really want this question answered and receive it with an open mind or have you decided on going or not going to the party regardless of your parents?
