Many dog clubs will offer classes in Junior handling and you are judged on the handler not the dog.
It is a great way to learn how to handle a dog. It is also great training if you have a show dog who had earned their titles and you are going to special them you can keep them in top form and practice with them. It helps the novice to have better control and more confidance with and experienced dog.

Get on-line at AKC web site and bypass to the area U R in contact in. also search for your community 4-H Extension place of work or bypass on-line for that too. it will be thrilling if U have someone to go back and forth with, like a figure or different grownup it truly is into canine. U do must have a purebred canine or co-own one with some different individual that needs a junior handler. U can try this till U R 18 at AKC exhibits.

i was a junior handler several years back... definitly need to talk to another handler and do some research... you preferbly need akc dog and of course... you groom the dog and have the leash... starting out i talked to other handlers... i showed my cavalier king charles spaniel and sometime cairn terrior... wasn't much grooming to be done on the spaniel and little bit more on the cairn... definitly lots of practice on walking the dog... setting up for the judge to feel the dog.... and of course walking back to the judge for quick stand! of course the judge judges the handler in this class not just the dog, but how you work the dog... good luck with this and be sure to ask all the questions you need!!

becoming a junior handler is pretty easy if your daughter is decated to her doggie and you also have to know what type of sport she wants to get into there is alot out there presonaly i will recommened aglity you get to be out doors most the time and its really fun for the dog as while as the handler :) and if you want to know more check the ack web site the have a whole page for junior handlers!!!
