Love because Love is God and whoever abides in Love abides in God and God in them.

Love or charity.

1 Corinthians 13:1 - Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

1 Corinthians 13:2 - And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

1 Corinthians 13:3 - And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

1 Corinthians 13:4 - Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

1 Corinthians 13:8 - Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

1 Corinthians 13:13 - And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

1 Corinthians 14:1 - Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.

1 Corinthians 16:14 - Let all your things be done with charity.

Colossians 3:14 - And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

Correction: "Charity" is greatest of three things.
Charity never fails cause it thinketh no evil(law).
Charity is notably above forgiving one another.
If you don't add charity as the seventh virtue,
then the other six count as "nothing": 1Cor 13.

How silly to say love never fails. Divorces...hello!
As the song asks: Why do people FALL in love?
It's a fearful thing to FALL into the "hands" of God!
Where do people fall from, when believing law law?
Paul says they're FALLen from grace (above): Gal 5:4.

POINT:
"Charity" is neither of two law loves in Mt 22: 36-40.
"Grace" is neither of two laws in Mt 22 & Romans 8:2.
"Us-ward" is neither of two thems in Hebews 10:39.
"Above a servant" is neither of two servants in Romans 6.
"More excellent" is neither broadmindead nor narrowmindead.

Law Law isn't sufficient. It's DEAD-ly.

Grace is sufficient (no law law req'd).

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

I agree, except expand to make implicit the infered "love put into action".

The older KJV uses "charity" to translate the Greek "agape" in 1st Cor 13:13, which has the full meaning of "sacrificial love".

Defiantly Love.Love is the answer to everything. The world would be a better place if everyone could just love one another. It`s the answer to end all wars in the world, and the answer for us to all be able to live in peace and harmony.human beings will never be able to love one another completely and unconditionally until they first learn to love Christ. And believe in Him and what He did for us.He demonstrated true and unconditional love for us because He was willing to die for us.Only people who believe in Him and what He did for us can ever have a true understanding of Love.
