Is a slice or two of pizza from papa john's or pizza hut going to do damage to my diet and does it have a lot of fat?

Depends what's on it. The crust for sure has a lot of calories. As long as you go back to your healthy eating the next day, you'll be alright.
so, you don't feel so guilty about it, you can go for a jog after wards.

Yes it has a lot of fat. As far as damaging your diet there are a few things to consider.

Firstly how long have you been dieting? If you have been dieting 1 day and then decide to have pizza this is probably not a good idea as the "eating well" habit isnt established yet and your metabolism will wonder what the hell is going on.

If on the other hand you have been dieting (and exercising I hope) for a couple of weeks to a month, and have been keeping to your weight goals then a slice or two occasionally will not make any difference.

The problem with treating yourself to these kinds of foods is not so much the fat content or poor nutritional value but rather that once you start your body will often being to crave it again, which can damage your diet if your motivation is not up to scratch.

You need to figure out what your goals are and where and when these types of foods can fit in without wrecking your healthy eating regime.

Pizza is high fat, but a slice or two here and there isn't going to hurt anything if you're working out and otherwise eating healthy.

When you're in peak condition, your system is much better able to get past and ignore occasional sins of indulgence. Believe me, I'm living and racing proof.....

If you eat a slice of pizza full of veggies... that's good... but if you eat one full of fatty cheese, not so good. It won't wreck your diet as long as you have one slice with water. Don't drink the coke, because that's bad for you. Everything is good in moderation. A slice wont kill you, neither will a donut.... but 2-3 slices or 2-3 donuts will.

I really don't think two slices of pizza will ruin your diet. But, diets don't work. Honestly, you don't have to stay completely away from foods you love. Just eat them less often and change your portions. And try to avoid junk food & drink water, and continue working out. Stay away from smorgasbords.
