I am a 6'3" 300 lb Texan who will drink wine if I feel like drinking wine.
If you are a secure male, it should not be a problem. Hell, you might start a fad for lads.

Hi Michael,
I see what you mean.
I am a Geordie, living just north of London, and love swilling a few pints of the local brews.
However, I sometimes have a nice red wine, or later on perhaps a glass of port.

I am "straight", and my mates do not mind my finishing off with a small glass of whatever.

I used to hear around Newcastle such comments as " Ah, you poofter!, cannot finish another pint!"

What odds, I would say, this is champion.

I am 5ft 6in, and about 8 stone.
If I tried 9 pints of Newcastle Broon, I might explode.

Cheers,
Bob.

I would go up and start a conversion with a man drinking wine over one drinking beer. It just sends a classy message to me. Not to mention, red wine is supposed to be good for you so you can always read up on it before going out with the boys and impress them with your knowledge if they should tease you a bit.

I don't know how it is in Scotland, but here in the states a man that drinks wine is classified as " cultured " . And I think that came from Europe , so your probably safe. The French do it, don't they?

It will just make you look posh as well has hard for being able to drink wine which is stronger haha! I drink it all the time instead of beer, makes me less bloated and nobody has said anything to me yet!

Depends what your mates are like. I live in the south west midlands, Uk. Having a half you get looked at funny by your mates and any girl in the vacinity, so maybe a pint of wine? lol

Hell no! I do believe the main classification of a person's sexual preference is his/her beverage choice, isn't it? James Bond downed martini's-total closet case--anything in such a glass is freaking fruity as well, oh my god! I think I saw my father have a wine cooler before--what will I tell my mother?

Well, I may not live in Europe, but...I know lots of men who are very much into wine. They are true coinosseurs (sp?). It is an art, really, and enjoying it and knowing about it is not only okay in my book, it's classy.
