You need only contact his parish to ask for it.

And what a wonderful thing for you to do!

There are a couple ways to do it. You can contact a local church and request a Mass or Masses. You'll need to ask what the traditional stipend is in your area ( for us it is $10). They will tell you the day the Mass will be offered. (FYI - only one stipend can be accepted for each Mass offered) The Church may have cards or you can simply let her know they days the Mass will be offered. I attend daily Mass at the parish I work for, and many times people make a point of attending a Mass when their intention will be remembered.

The other way is to contact a religious order and request a Mass enrollment. These are called 'perpetual Masses.' When enrolled, Mass is offered for all the people enrolled at every Mass they offer- forever.

I prefer the first option...it's more personal.

Go and see your local parish priest or contact the parish office. Say that you would like the priest to offer a mass for your friend/her niece. The priest or someone at the parish office will help you with the rest.

Contact your local church or monastery and give your gift of $$ and they'll say the masses, according to the amount agreed upon, for your friend's niece.

Call your local Church and have the Secretary schedule a Mass.
