Ignore it, just be proud of who you are. Check out what your weight should be and stay around that.
Take care.

First of all, I have been really skinny and fat and believe me, it is more embarrasing to have people call you or people look at you when you are fat. Either way it is rude. A lot more people said things to me when I was a size 0 (is she sick? dying? on drugs?) than when I was a 14. But the looks were awful as was when I was a teen my dad saying you will be so much happier when you are thin. The reason people think it is OK is because a lot of people are jealous. Or they don't care, or they want to know how you do it. It is socially acceptable to be skinny, but it is still not cool to be chubby so people don't blatantly say things like ew she looks round or whatever. The next time someone says to you, tell them its not up for discussion. Thats it.

Because a lot of people are envious of skinny folks so they like to embarrass us. But embarrassing a fat person is somehow "bad" so they don't do it.
I have no clue on why they value skinny persons less than fat ones but you know what? I solved the issue by refusing to care about what they say!
My mom's cousin used to ask her if I had AIDS. Turned out her daughter got it and died. While I am sorry for the person who died, I deeply despise her mom, who still asks around if I am a junkie (like her daughter was btw).
Those are persons who don't know how to get a life, that is.

NO! That is very much a double-standard. It is politically incorrect to call someone fat, but the same people don't hesitate badger someone about how skinny they are. It is hard for some people to lose weight. It is difficult for some people to put on weight. No big deal. If someone really thinks that their friends health is in danger, then it would be worth having a talk, but that is different than annoying passive aggressive comments.

I don't know. Probably because stupid society indirectly tells us it's ok to be wayyyyyy too thin with the role models we're provided with through adverstising, models, celebrities etc. So, I guess people think, in some weird way, that they're complimenting you.
I know what you mean in terms of it hurting you. I am underweight too and I am literally shocked everytime someone makes a comment on my weight. Like, how do they think it's ok, appropriate, or any of their business?? I'm underweight due to medical reasons, but as if I'm going to tell people that when they make remarks on my weight.
Frickin' screwed up societal values huh?? I think if people *really* thought things through by separating themselves from the societally-fed subliminal messages before they spoke, this wouldn't happen as much. Too few can think outside the box though. *Sigh*.

If people ask me why I'm fat (and I am), I tell them it is from eating people who ask rude questions. I suppose for people who ask about being skinny, a good response might be that you always throw up your last meal on people who ask rude questions.
If you feel healthy, then don't sweat it. Weight isn't as important as nutrition. Make sure your nutrition is good by consulting a dietitian (don't just guess on your own since you already know your weight is outside the normal range, so your nutrition could be compromised). Once you, your doc and the dietitian are happy, then you're good, whatever your weight is.

Its just the way our society thinks, it doesn't make it right, but there also isn't a whole lot you can do about it. People have said and done the same thing to me all of my life, don't let it bother you. It sounds like you may still be very young. In which case, do not worry. You will put on weight as you get older. As long at you eat right and are at peace with your body, that is what matters.

Because in today's society, skinny is good and fat is bad. It also seems to be ok to remark how tall someone is but not how short. Interesting.
FYI to everyone else: this girl is full of crap. Take a look at her history of questions. One day she's like 68 pounds, the next day she's 8 months pregnant, then she's too fat, then she's too skinny again. A few weeks ago she was 5' tall, now she's 5'4".

well if its an overweight person asking, then i'd shoot back with your line of "You are so fat! Are you on a diet?" That will give them the message. If this seems to harsh, then just reply you have a quick metabolism. People can be very insensitive and sometimes need a reminder that they are being less than kind.

In today's society, it's okay to be too thin. But it is not okay to be too fat. So, people don't realize that their being hurtful when they take punches at a skinny person.

Almost all of your questions are about being fat or being pregnant... (Which, I doubt you are.)
You need to see a doctor... If all you can think about is weather or not you're fat, you have an eating disorder.
