In 1979 in Kanankee Illinois, a UFO was sighted hovering over what was then the Bel-Scott parking lot. It was about 7:30 at on a summer night. The lights that went around in strange patterns were mesmorizing. The few people that were in their cars were getting out to get a better look at the specticle. Traffic stopped on the busy main road by the plaza. In the blink of an eye the craft shot straight up to a white dot in the night sky blending in with the stars.
I was 9 years old, my dad had run into the store to get a brush for our dog, he missed the whole thing.

when i was about the same age ( 9 ) Scotland 1978
my sister and friend and I were going to our dance club and we had a rather close encounter with a craft
it was on a football ground near our school and strangely enough about 7 pm in summer
well we ran away and were scared to tell anyone
anyway years went by and we didnt really speak about it , and as time went on i began to think i had imagined it or dreamt it
but one day just a few years ago my sister brought it up... and i was like phew it wasnt just me then lol
I would love to get a hold of my old friend to see if she remembers

i used to coon hunt with my husband and son ,im not sure what it was strange as it may seem while in the brush my son said mom look in looking there was a light in the sky that regardless where we went it would follow us even after we were in the pickup suddenly it disappeared and i have never had anything else like that to happen really strange to me because i am a skeptic
