I am thinking about doing weight watchers, I was wondering if any1 out there has done it, and what the program with points involves? I was wondering how much you lost and in how much time?

But WW is great, I've lost 12 pounds so far in 7 weeks and still going good. You average about 1/2 to 2 pounds a week, if you are heavier you tend to be on the higher end of that, and most people loose more at first.

They asign you a certain number of "points" based on your gender, age, height, weight, and activity level. Then each food is assigned a point value based on its calories, fat, and fiber. Figuring it out is really easy and they have books that list points of diffrent foods.

They also ask you to eat so many fruits & veggies, dairy, and water each day. After you get that in you can use your other points to eat what you want, so you learn to eat healthier and make better choices but you still get to eat the foods you want, just maybe in smaller portions. You can also earn activity points (which you can eat) by exercising, and you get a pile of points to use however you want every week.

The meetings are fun to and offer support, and you are weighed in private so no one in the meeting will know how much you weigh unless you say it... Lots of people in my meeting have lost more then 50 pounds and on the weight watchers website their are lots of people who have lost 100 or more pounds. Most of the people in that range have been doing it for more then a year, but since it is not really a diet, but a diffrent way of eating, it is not that hard to stick to...

Good luck!

dont count on weight watchers knocking off weight in a super hurry. they are all about teaching you how to eat healthy portions. they are actually the best place to go because they teach you how to eat real food in the real world instead of a bunch of food you have to order like other diet programs. with the others when you decide youve lost enough weight and leave that program you are out there wondering what you can eat and how much and before you know it........youve gained it all back and then some. so weight watchers is the way to go to do it right. check out their website. weightwatchers.com they explain it all to you there. i will say good luck, but with weight watchers, you wont need it because you will lose the weight and luck has nothing to do with it. its a way of life.
