Your dog bites you and not your boyfriend probably because he knows that he can get away with it with you. It is just teething, but this time in a puppies life is crucial. This is the time in his life when he will learn his "bite-inhibition." This means that he will be learning what he can and cannot be biting and or chewing on. You need to correct him every single time he puts his teeth on you. It has to be a firm correction as well. You can try pushing his own lips under his teeth and squeezing a little bit, showing him that his teeth are hurting you. You can also simply redirect his biting to a toy that he is allowed to chew on. This is a good time to get him lots and lots of toys to play with, for variety. A good method for teething puppies is to wet a stuffed toy with water, then sticking it in the freezer for a bit. Most dogs love chewing on the toy when it has a little bit of ice frozen onto it, and it will soothe his aching gums as well. Hope this helps! Email me if you've got any more questions.

A 4 month old pup of any breed needs things to chew on. He is bored so he will chew on you or what ever he chooses. When he starts to bite you or anyone, put a chew toy in his mouth. Nylabones and Kongs are great. A little pricey, but well worth it. And no rawhide! Dogs uner 12 months should not have it. Keep him occupied! It will cease then stop all together if you keep at it.

Tell him no. If you have hurt him he may be mad and showing you who's boss. Get some toys he can chew on(no raw hide bones). If this doesn't help talk to his vet and see if he has something wrong with him.
p.s I'm training a black cocker spaniel also. That's what i did and it helped a lot.

I've got a few suggestions.
*1. Buy chewy, hard rubber toys for him to chew on.
*2. Tell him 'NO!' very sternly when he bites too hard.
*3. Muzzle him when he bites too hard.
I hope I helped.

I had the same problem... we went and bought a muzzel and every time he bit me or anyone else we put the muzzle on him. then he got the hint now we have him trained so when he wants to chew on something he picks up his muzzle to let us know that he wants to chew on something.... we have a HUGE bone he peels apart...... and the teezing thing just lock him up when he starts to bite and give him a bone or icecubes

tell him" no" in a very deep voice and put him down and give him a toy or whatever you would prefer him to chew on. he should get the idea pretty quick.
