I've met black vets. They are as white as can be. The military gets those attitudes out of them. If they can do that for blacks, they can get the gay attitudes out too.

Well, actually, no one in the military really cares if you are gay, unless you do something to piss someone off and they can't nail you for anything else. If they start allowing openly gay people in the military, nothing much would change. I'm in the Army and I've had several gay battle buddies. Everyone knew and nobody cared as long as they did a good job and didn't make a big deal out of being gay. In fact, I knew one guy who did make a big deal about being gay and no one cared because he was good at his job.

some people could desire to recover from themselves.. have faith it or not, not each and every gay guy needs to "bonk" his complete platoon. some have companions back at abode that they are committed to. the genuine reason people do not choose gays to brazenly serve, or be interior the army in any respect is an element of an analogous rationalization why people do not choose women persons in try against. It ruins the conservative classic romantic image of a soldier being a macho, shielding heterosexual male who has a spouse at abode looking after his little ones (seek advice from many many WW1 and WW2 recruitment posters). No conservative needs to verify women persons interior the thick of the action, on an analogous time as their husband is at abode (revrse place) or a gay soldier who has a boyfriend or husband at abode. the clever motives are homophobic BS too. the seen showering with a gay who in all probability isn't even attracted to you putting you off or making you sense uncomfortable? Awww.. no. recover from it. it somewhat is YOUR situation, not the gay soldier.

I've always supported gays anyway.. ts none of my business or concern who the want to play rump ranger or carpet muncher with.. Gay in the military is hardly new.. Every base i've ever been on had quite a gay population.. and its not really a secret either.. its just largly ignored officially because of the regs against it.

Personally I think gays would be insane to wanna push for the right to join the military... If they ever re-instate the draft thats one ticket out of it (I've been in the military before BTW, and worked on bases as a civilin up to the day i retired 10 years ago) I can guarantee you if they tried to draft me today.. I'd be sucking officer dick all day to get out of it)

It doesn't mean you support "gays" it means it is step one to realizing that even gay people have the right to serve in the military no matter who they are! Just like they should have the right to marry too but thats a totally different subject!

If everyone in the military came out of the closet from Generals/Admirals on down..You wouldn't have much of a military left. About time they stop being hypocritical about it.
