They are God's created people just as anyone else. One's faith, religion has no bearing on equality, intelligence etc. The only difference is what they do or do not believe in, which we are all entitled to. Personally, as a Christian, I cannot understand how Anyone cannot believe in God, but it's because I have the Holy Spirit indwellling me, guiding me and giving me the love and understanding of God/Jesus that they lack. We are to love everyone as equal in God's eyes and our own. I do believe they are people with a void in their lives. Some are full of pride in their own understanding and refuse to humble themselves to a Higher Power. I pray they open themselves up to truth for their eternal futures. God loves us all!

I think that they are just as bad as all of the religious groups that they speak out against. They say they are open minded, but refuse to listen to any other point of view. Believe what you want, but be open to others also.

They believe in natural laws. Their view should be respected just like those under a religious affiliation. Some I'm cool with some I'm not, not because of what they believe but just because of their overall personality. I don't care about what others believe in. I'm interested but I don't care if its not the same as mine or everyone else because everyone is different and you believe what you believe. I don't reject or become friends with someone because of their beliefs but for their personality like we all should be doing but many people in this world are ignorant, generalizing, prejudice, bigots.

I believe that They are human much too human lost under to much of the bigger story rather than caught up in the greatest
story. So to answer that question I think they are lost souls waiting to be found and deep down longing for Christ's love

I have atheist friends and they are nice. They have decided to not to believe in God I believe in. That is OK by me. God gave us our free wills. At least they are making a decision. God will respect their decision.

Nothing in particular, except that I wonder how they avoid depression. I think if I hadn't had experiences that lead me to believe in a higher power, I would be depressed...

They are persuaded not to believe through ideas or emotions that make it look that God can't exist. These things block them from looking for God.

Pretty general question eh?
I think they're people who don't believe in God. Beyond that, depends on the atheist. Take out the "don't" in the first sentence, and the same remarks generally apply to "Christians."
Of course, now that I've made all politically correct like, it bears adding that insofar as one's belief system actually impacts one's personality, atheists have an obvious edge over "Christians." Some nominal "Christians" are cool people, but only because they don't take religion very seriously. As a rule, the more seriously they take it, the more neurotic they are, and the less fun to be around, because Christianity is an anti-human contrivance specifically designed to enslave people.
Atheists, meanwhile, have (in theory) decided to unload themselves of the baggage of these 2,000 years of fraud and oppression, and untold thousands of years of superstition and ignorance, in light of the advance of human knowledge and understanding.* For that reason, they're more likely to be open-minded and interesting and progressive. Needless to say, the exceptions prove the rule.
*To which the Christian retorts "And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: that they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness." Sigh. Well, decide for yourself who's yanking your chain.
