As a general rule, you will need at least an 850 cca rated battery to properly power a 3/4 ton pickup truck, it further depends how loaded the F-250 is (is it a bare basics work truck with just the AM/FM radio and not even A/C or is it an XLT Lariat fully loaded Centurion with aftermarket offroad lights and a hydraulic plow?).
So long your ranger's battery has a minimum of 850 cca's, it should work. I myself prefer 1,000 cca's in a battery regardless, but for that size truck a smaller battery such as a 750cca likely wouldn't hold up to the power demand for long.
In an emergency even a 650 cca would work... A 750 cca would work ok for a bare basics truck, but I still recommend a minimum 850 cca for that type of vehicle because it's a matter of how long you want it to last.

As people said, if it's a group 65 battery and the CCA is above 650cca or so it will work

Maybe. If it fits you ought to be able to use it.
The best thing to do though is call your locat auto parts store and get the actual specs for the batteries on both and then go from there.
