Wow... What do you think? Have you ever heard of a job where they send your pay to someone else? Do you think that you work on a volunteer basis for several months?

You better sharpen your level of common sense or you won't have much luck in removing the "future" from your username.

Everything in the military is direct deposit. If you don't have a bank account when you go to basic, you will be given one. I had a choice of two bank accounts. Of course you get paid. You're recruiter should have explained this to you. It doesn't surprise me that he didn't though. So many recruiters are screw ups. I had a good recruiter, thank god, but it was probably easy for him to tell the truth because I went into the recruiting office expecting it to be way worse than what it was. If you have any other questions about joining the military, I would be happy to answer them for you. Just drop me an email some time.

You get paid while in Boot Camp. It may not get to you
at the time since you are a new "employee" and paper
work is still being processed. You get paid FOR boot
camp...but from my memory...while I was in boot camp
they did not hand me a bunch of money..Thank God.

Yep. When I was in I got a whopping 60 bucks a month. You have to buy your own shoe polish and brass polish and soap and deodorant and... well you get the idea.... not much left for night life.

YOU get it, you get paid every 2 weeks, or once a month, whatever you chose when you sign up. You get paid during all training, from the day you report in.

Yes you do. I would suggest that you start thinking and typing like an educated American. Being a soldier is a respectable profession, so don't embarrass the profession by sounding like an idiot. Good luck in the service.
