Umar (RA) was the second rightly-guided khalifa of Islam.
He was martyred in Madinah.
He is buried in Masjid -e - Nabawi (SAW).
I think that he was one of the companions who were given glad tidings of Jannah while they were in this world.
I think that one of the wives of the Holy Prophet Muhammad(SAW) was Umar's (RA) daughter.
Among his conquests was Jerusalem. I think he also rebuilt part of Masjid-ul-Aqsa.
