My 16 year old little sister has feel into the web of unwed mothers. Most of her friends have kids, or are pregnant right now. She got found out she was pregnant, and said she wanted to get an abortion. After talking to her friends( also teen mothers) She started referring to her boyfriend as her "baby dad", and her baby as her "seed" as if she were happy to be having a baby at such a young age. She is 16 and only in the 10th grade, so her future now will be even more of a challenge than when it was when she was just a kid living in the ghetto. Now shes a product of it. Why do these kids think its cute to have babies, when there isnt even anyone to take care of them?

I've never heard of having babies at a young age as being stylish. I had a baby and was married at 16, so I'm not going to say that your sister's life is completely over and that she needs to get an abortion (there are other options). But, with that being said, she is going to have a tough time.
I think most teenage girls who have sex and end up pregnant are just looking for love and acceptance in the wrong place. They think that this little innocent baby is completely theirs and will love them no matter their faults. And it also seems that you're sister is trying to keep around they guy who impregnated her for the same reasons. As for the "baby daddy" and "seed" expressions, your sister is just being the immature kid that she is- I would encourage her to weigh her options in regards to this baby and let her make an informed decision as to whether she wants to keep it or give it up. She made her bed and now she has to sleep in it, no matter how hard it is.

this is not a "style" young mothers has happened always. 16 was once an age when people were beginning to get married and have babies. If you were in your 20's and unmarried you were considered a spinster. then as time went on and unmarried teenagers had babies they were "sent away". It was not talked about and the baby was given up for adoption. It is just now more out in the open. But in the cases you are talking about these girls are choosing to be pregnant. Biggest reason. They feel they need someone to love them. Trouble is they are so young they do not realise the demands that are placed on them. Babies are a 24/7 job and don't give back a whole lot of what these girls are looking for. Babies are wonderul human beings when they are bought into the world for the right reasons.

It's not right if teenagers want to have sex they should use a condom or the parents should put them on a birth control. Kids having kids it's crazy they need to grow up first. now she won't be able to get a decent job if she won't graduate. For the abortion she will regret it, she could put the baby up for adoption too. there are families out there that would want a baby. Or if she can take care of the baby get help to raise him or her when they come. The baby inside her is alive don't let her make the wrong mistake she will have to grow up fast and take the responsibilities for her actions.

There will be someone to take care of them, The American taxpayer and the foster care system. After that the prison system will. I'm very glad you can see a problem here and comment on it. I think you are the cream rising to the top and you are a ghetto kid who can make it. Education is the only road out that doesn't end in trouble. Good Luck and God Bless

I am a teen mother and my children where unplanned and I am glad they where born. I do not live in the ghetto. I live in another state from my parents with my 2 children. I am proud however I would not recommend being a teen parent. It is just to much work but in the end it is all worth it.

Too bad she didn't take care of a baby for a week, on her own, then she would have kept her legs crossed.

I don't know why that's in style, but it's really bad. You shouldn't have a baby until you are established in a career. Convince her to get an abortion, and if she won't then assault her with a coat hanger.
