This is not a good idea. Codeine has its uses, but it is not great. And BEWARE if you should get your hands on Tylenol with codeine and take a lot the TYLENOL can kill you, a long slow painful death from liver failure over several days. Codeine is horribly constipating. Most people want to avoid it. SO what's wrong with you really?

In the U.S. you need a prescription, because codeine is a controlled substance. In some other countries you don't necessarily need a prescription, especially for blended medications that contain both codeine and acetaminophen or some other NSAID (like Tylenol with codeine). The reason for OTC sales in this latter case is that you can't take enough of the blended medication to become intoxicated by the codeine without also taking a toxic dose of the acetaminophen. Codeine is not highly habit-forming compared to most other opioids, but the U.S. considers all opioids to be controlled substances. Other countries are often a bit more realistic and recognize that codeine in low doses or in blended medications (Tylenol with codeine, cough medicines, etc.) is not much of an abuse risk.

I don't know why you wanted codeine .It has lot of side effects.
If a doctor feels like you definitely need codeine .he would himself prescribe you.It has lot side effects as well,so its not advisable to take even if you get somehow.

Some side effects are-

The most frequently observed adverse reactions include lightheadedness, dizziness, sedation, nausea, vomiting, and sweating
Central Nervous System — Euphoria, dysphoria, weakness, headache, insomnia, agitation, disorientation, and visual disturbances.

Cardiovascular — Flushing of the face, bradycardia, palpitation, faintness, and syncope.

Genitourinary— Urinary retention or hesitancy, anti- diuretic effect, and reduced libido and/or potency.

Codeine is given for pain or cough. If you hsve eigher, a doctor should give it to you. If not, just ask ("This is just like the migraines I used to get. Tylenol with codeine worked well then. Can I try it again?")

Not if the doctor is legit. No above board doctor will write perscriptions at the patient's request, or subject himself to anything illegal. Do you realize , it takes over a quarter of a century in time, education wise starting from grade school, to become a specialist? What man in his right mind would throw all this away for the pennies you could offer in bribes?

I agree with W W D. In addition, as a Y!answers user, I feel that we should not be faced with people asking advice on how to further their drug addictions.

Scheduled drugs are scheduled for a purpose. The answer to your question is to be ill enough for a DR. to prescribe it. I'm sure you can find some other place online to ask about drug addictions, just please don't do it here on a family friendly site where some child might see how to get pills.

A refrigerator fell off a loading lift on to me - collapsing my spine.

Pain Killers for life.

Injury is a sure fire way... but darlin' I don't recommend it. ;)

BTW - prolonged codine use leads to massive problems with your health in the future. It's made me have 5 colon surgeries so far.

Go for Dark Chocolate, hon - a natural pain killer.
Peace. --De

Don't judge? You have to be kidding. People like you make my job in emergency medicine hugely more difficult, and there are probably lots of people who need narcotics and don't get enough because people like you game the system. You have no idea the damage you cause, and I wouldn't be surprised to know you don't care.
