I moved my son into a double bed when he was 11 months old. He never slept well in a crib and loved our bed so we got him his own.
I put it into the corner of the room so he couldn't roll out two of the sides. It was so big that he had plenty of room to roll around anyway. We were going to get the railings to put up but found the pillows on the edge was all he needed. He never fell out.
If you are worried about it then go ahead and get him a toddler bed. I am not a fan of toddler beds though. Having to then transition again to a bigger bed is an unnecessary step. Do it once when they are babies and it is much easier!
Good Luck. SD

I know he can't walk on his own yet, but it is time for you to switch him over to a toddler bed. Wouldn't you rather have him fall from a short toddler bed then a tall crib? I think it is safer to have him in a toddler bed with rails. Good Luck!

He is kinda young to be in a toddler bed. Have you ever thought of the crib tents. Its a tent that goes over the top of the crib and your kid cant climb out. He can still stand up though. I they are kinda expenisve, it just depends on where you look. Here is a link to one from walmart.
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4726174
you can also do a search on ebay for crib tents and see whats cheaper there.

I agree with the crib tent my son is very tall for his age we had the same problem but when I took the bars off his crib he started wondering around the house tearing things up I even tried a baby gate on his room he wrecked his room too but at least it was in a concentrated area - Id go with the tent

When he can actually climb out then it's time to move him to a toddler bed, what you can do now is take the mattress off and lower the brackets that hold the ma tress to the lowest setting.

Try moving to a toddler bed. If you can try to make a big fuss and decorate or get a set of charachter. This may make him want to stay in the bed. My cousin used this mental warfare. BuzzLightYear sheets were used and a BuzzLightYear doll. My nephew now does not leave his bed when it is time to go to sleep because he doesn't want Buzz to get lonely.

Not yet. Get a crib tent, available at Babies R Us and such places. If he's in anything but a crib he really WILL be able to roam the house!

Ask if there is an enterprise in touch and is the mummy meant to be below supervision. newborn shielding centers could have been stated as by potential of acquaintances and are meant to check out, they could desire to have an answer for you.
