You should wait until she is 2 to breed her.

Generally a female is ready to breed in her 2nd week of her heat.

Her teats might enlarge and she would gain weight.

Best way to tell if she is pregnant is to take her to the vet. They can do an ultrasound if you really think she may be pregnant.

I also have a chihuahua, but my vet advised us not to breed her because of her size, not that we would breed her anyways, we had her spayed when she was 6 months old. However, she sibling from the litter is going to have pups, and her owners vet told them to wait at least until she was 2 years old, you really need to check in with your vet on this question. Chihuahua are so fragile and your vet is the only one that can tell you when your pup will be fully ready to go through that process. Pregnancy can be very very difficult for chihuahua's and even deadly. Please check with your vet before you find your lil girl a boyfriend. I have a friend that lost her chihuahua while giving birth, so its really important you have your puppy into the vet for a check up. I can tell you that with regular dogs, vet's want them to have been in heat a least twice before breeding. Good Luck!! and be careful...... Keep in mind that there are millions of dogs out there that need homes, and think about if your dog's life is really worth risking just for some puppies, or just for some $$.

I even have consistently had all my women people spayed..... So i'm to uncertain approximately warmth cycles and how long they final, yet generally (oftentimes) while they are scooting the at the back of alot, it could the two be a demonstration of worms, or in all hazard there anal glands are impacted, and that they try to launch them. if it rather is so have a vet verify her over, and perhaps do her glands for ya, groomers will do them additionally yet they only do the outer, no longer what a vet can get to.... yet signs and warning signs for her going into warmth, you would be conscious her little vulva (woman areas) swell up and he or she will commence a bleeding cycle, i could have her checked over nevertheless for the scooting problem and perhaps seek suggestion from your vet approximately getting her spayed....good success

Not to be rude or anything, but you are obviously not a professional dog breeder so your chihuahua should NOT be bred. Just because you have a cute dog does not mean that it needs to reproduce. There are far too many abandoned, abused, neglected dogs in this world. No need to create any more!!

First, they go in for one week, breed for one week, and take another week to come out of heat. During the second week she will start raising her tail to males, and letting them mount, thats when shes ready to breed, also there should be a kind of clear, milky, liquid coming out of her when shes taking. And I breed my dogs on their second heat, and not before, usually about a year and a half to 2 yrs. Hope this helps.

She shouldn't be bred until at least 2 years old. She will only allow herself to be bred when she is in heat.

Well, my vet told me to put the male and female together on the 9th day she is in heat. When you put them together and make sure they "hook-up" which means they turn around, stick their hind-ends together and stick. You will not be able to pull them apart. If they don't do that, there is about a 99% chance that she won't be pregnant.

Not until she is Married. I would make her finish obedience school and also a long engagement is always preferable.
