I have never gotten a facial. It is much better to go to a dermatologist regularly ( about every 3-6) weeks. He or she is much more qualified at touching and poking your skin that a facialist and he or she will give you prescriptions as required that work. Also, if you want to go beyond that, you can always see a plastic surgeon that can do light laser therapy that does wonders along with microdermabrasion.

I don't think you have to get proffessional facials at all. Just make sure you follow a daily routine of washing with a good cleanser, use toner, etc. About once a week use a facial scrub such as st. ives. I only get a professional facial when I want to be pampered a bit.If it gets too bad, see a dermotologist for the right acne treatment for your skin.
